ISTE 2015

Expanding Your Classroom Walls: Connective, Collaborative and Global Learning

At the beginning of September 2014, my friend Meghan and I made it our goal to present at ISTE (International Society of Technology in Education) in Philadelphia at the end of June, 2015. That dream became a reality in December! We were accepted to present a poster session titled "Expanding Your Classroom Walls: Connective, Collaborative and Global Learning".

We have been home from Philadelphia for three weeks now and to this date, this is the craziest experience I have ever endured. The day we presented I was nervous, excited and inspired by all of the amazing educators around us. There were just over 18,000 people at ISTE this year and for over two and a half hours, Meghan and I talked to educators about the work we have done with Frontier School Division and their Livestreaming Kit! It was incredible to see how engaged educators were by this technology and how they were thinking they could use it in their own classroom to get their class globally connected!

The feedback we received was phenomenal and I feel so privileged to have been given this amazing opportunity!
